SUNDAY, August 11th
On Sunday we went to the PC fair at the local convention center. Whoah was it packed! My goodness! There were some definite claustrophobic, body-to-body moments. We went with computer stuff in mind. We need a printer, some hard drives, a new webcam, speakers for my computer, but due to limited funds, being sick of being there, and lack of stock, we only ended up getting my new lens. Wahoo! I have an awesome new 50mm lens!

By the way, we've decided it's totally worth the extra money to just buy things at the mall. It's just too much hassle and stress to do this again.
Then we went to check out the Sunday night salsa scene. And it. Was. Dead. There were six people (four on the dance floor) when we arrived, and about eight when we left. Every time we danced, they cleared the floor, watched us, and they videotaped us. We were like creatures at the zoo -- have you seen the salsa dancer exhibit?
The club itself is not bad. It's an indoors little nook at the back of a stylish bar. The lighting is nice and the floor is all right (although not quite slippery enough, so we tired out quickly). We'd probably go again, and being an earlier evening, we were plotting to start going and bringing Regin with us. But then... people started smoking. Ugh. Denver, I never thought I'd say this, but I miss you.
Meanwhile, I practiced some night time photography with my new lens.
(All handheld and available light -- love my new lens)
These photos and a few more on the art blog.
