My Son's a Writer

I have tried more than once to interest my boy in a box of crayons and all the possibilities they offer on a big piece of white paper.

But the only thing interesting to Regin about crayons is their fragility, which he likes to test on our tile floor (along with remotes, phones, iPods).  So what happens is, I end up drawing with the few crayons I can keep away from my boy while he's on his crayon-killing spree.  In this case it was blue, green, and yellow:

However, when I gave him a pen and a pad of paper, somehow his world opened up and he was enthralled!

He was walking around with his pad and his pen and writing in the air, writing on the floor, writing everywhere.

By the way, as of this set of photos I have officially seen a striking family resemblence to all but one of his parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles (blood), and cousins.  All that was left was Annika and Berint.  Annika, I thought was as different from Regin as one could look.  Now, I see it!  He looks so much like some baby pictures I have of her!  How about that Annika?

The first one isn't so convincing, but check out the hairdos!
With imagination I think you have to agree on this second one.  If you set Annika's eyes a little wider and her cheeks were a little less puffy, you'd totally have Regin!  Very similar nose/mouth/chin too I think.
Ok close ups, because those are hard to see.

I think I have seen a photo of her somewhere in my stash that would be more convincing, but I couldn't find it just now, so these will have to do till other ones get scanned.

Here's a more recent photo of Annika:

Now I just have to look for a spark of Berint (Bear) in Regin and that'll be everyone.
