We are looking for puppy names!

She's a Bernese Mountain Dog, 9 weeks old, and she and Regin are
already becoming best friends!

I think I've officially been in sweden too long. .. . I look at her and "Stina" pops into my head. . . course I've got stina on the brain. Jimmy's great grandma was named that and her funeral is this friday. She was a really cool lady so I'll offer the name despite the very minimal chance that anyone not living in Sweden would find it even slightly appealing :P LOL

Hmmm... No offense to Jimmy's great grandma, but I am not sure about Stina although Scandinavian names are definitely not out of the question. So far I'm thinking maybe Góđa or Nissa, Thora, or Freya.

I'm also thinking Germanic/swiss names since her breed originates from the Swiss Alps. Heidi is a bit too obvious isn't it? Gretchen? Astrid? Greta? (some good ones here.)

Other names... Millie, Mango, Nanna (from Peter Pan), Mija (Spanish term of endearment).

Now I'm just brainstorming...

Coco/Cocoa is too common, maybe Chocolate? Vanilla is also a little common. Although Vanilla Bean is kinda cute.

Maybe some other spice? Cinnamon? Cassia? Saffron? Anise? (We knew a girl in Penang called Anis) Cayenne? Curry? Licorice? Marshmallow? Nutmeg? (Cute! Meg for short), Paprika, Sassafras, Kola, Canela (Cinnamon in Spanish),

Flowers: Poppy, Lavender, Peony, Sunflower, or just Flower (like in Bambi), Petal (British term of endearment)

Edibles: Olive, Papaya, Rhubarb, Mango, Caramel, Caramela, Butternut

Latin dance/music theme (our last dog was Bongo): Cha-cha, salsa, samba, rumba, timba, maraca, Conga,

Places: Cali, Miami, Malaysia ;),

Animals: Lamb (british term of endearment),

Big Girl names: Bertha, ...?

I could spend all day and more doing this... anyway, some initial thoughts here and I think I like some of these.

Once I start doing this I can't stop.

Obvious place name: Geneva

More animals: Bamsa (Faroese for Bear), Osa (female bear in spanish??)

Terms of endearment: Poppet, Love

Ugh... I just had some other good ones that I can't remember.
