We hadn't planned our costumes this year because we thought we were maybe going to be going away for the weekend (that seems to be ruining a lot of my social planning these days), so yesterday, at 3pm (party was at 5:30) we were standing in Toys-R-Us trying to come up with a clever costume for Regin out of toys. Finally, after about two hours of indecision (I think we both had low blood sugar) we gave up and went easy with a prefab toddler costume. It's all right. Regin was super cute in it.
They didn't have any adult costumes. But they did have tattoo sleeves and a granny wig. So I decided to be a tattooed granny, which ended up being a pretty good and funny costume, and we decided to make George a shark attack victim, which ended up being much lamer than we imagined.

Carmen & Fernando's kids Halloween party was so great! Wow! Here I was thinking I had done a pretty good job decorating our place, THEN we entered the World-O-Halloween at the Paz's! You have raised the bar for me Carmen, and I thank you! Regin will be thanking you in the future too! I aspire to have as cool and complete a Halloween decor as you in the future! But I don't know that I will have as good or big of a decoration crew as you had. George is a total decoration grinch and Regin won't be much help for a couple of years yet.
Anyway, it was AMAZING. The party was mostly kids, and not in Regin's age group, but there were some adults we knew, so we had some fun chatting time. I was disappointed in the lack of costumes from the adults though!
Here is, by far, my favorite shot of the night. Regin and George are sitting still as the kids are whizzing from adult to adult, "trick-or-treating."
George and Regin inside the Paz's "Spooky Room":
Carmen and Fernando were totally in the spirit (of course) with their costumes as well.
My costume must have been too convincing because I kept getting compliments on my clothes/hair color! I originally had much better, uglier make up, but I rubbed most of it off since I didn't want to look totally hideous! Maybe that would have helped some people realize that I was in costume though.
