Penang -- Week 24 -- Restaurant Hopping and Batik Shopping

Week 24
SATURDAY, August 23rd
Saturday is a GORGEOUS morning, with a clearer view of the mainland than we generally see.
George webcams with his mom as he often does on weekends while I'm checking out the sparkling glow on the waves below us.
How am I going to manage living with my mediocre views in Thornton after this?
We're making up for lost time this weekend.  Lots of outings crammed into to two days.  We eat at two new (to us) restaurants on Saturday.
I'm a little nervous about "Chicken Stuff" on the menu.  You?
How about some iced tea?  Sometimes when you order that you get this:
A glass of hot tea and a bowl of ice.  A DIY iced tea if you will.

We walked around George Town a little.
A restaurant worker washing dishes in the street -- a normal sight here:

We (I) shopped at Sam's Batik (above) where I bought this and this:
All that is hand embroidered.  It's tricky to wear though, because it has a very boxy cut.
George and Regin amuse themselves in the mirror while I'm trying stuff on.

Regin was calling all the female mannequins "Mamma."  Above he's identifying the nose ("Nigh") of this particular Mamma.

When we got home we had some silly time.
