Views around our apartment building.
Our apartment is the only one with the pink bougainvillea bush on the balcony. It's visible in every shot.
This is the restaurant with the loud singer I mentioned.
Seafood porridge anyone?
Song River restaurant is apparently famous enough that our cultural trainer from Singapore knew it and was trying to tell us how lucky we were to live right behind it.
Our street, Jalan Birch, has these tires along the side of the road to stop people parking there. George hates these tires and he routinely drives into them to move them around. They are all around this parking lot that is to the right of this picture, so I guess it's to encourage people to go park in there instead. Still it takes up a good chunk of a road that has precious little room left over from all the cars parked along the other side.
You see deep ditches a lot here.
The side street with all the townhouses from our highly photographed view. Tires again along the side next to the parking lot.
Look closely and you can see my brown and yellow floral shirt that I wore in my fashion post. It's hanging in our "laundry room."
From our building looking towards Kelawi/Shell station.
