So I traded in the old Blazer for a brand, spankin new Toyota Yaris a week ago. And I totally love it! It's sooooooo much more "me" than that SUV. It's cute, it's little, it's stylish, and it's sooooooo much more fuel efficient! Yes, I am aware of how difficult it will be to put a baby seat in a 2-door, but the previous car was also a 2-door, so that was going to be an issue anyway.

Anyway, I was hoping to post a picture of me in the car. But that's a surprisingly difficult thing to do when your hubby leaves town with the camera. I was going to have my dad take a picture when I went down to Walsenburg for Thanksgiving, but by the time I made it out to the ranch, the car was covered in a thick layer of dirt-road dust! So this cell phone pic with our dog Bongo will have to do.

Thanksgiving in the W-burg
George is, of course, still in Miami. So he did his own Thanksgiving thing there (complete with watching the Dolphins play on TV). I headed down to Walsenburg to hang with my parents for a few days. I almost didn't even make it down! See... because George and I are cosigning on the car, we had to send him the paperwork, so I really have no proof that this car is mine. On top of that, our insurance expired, and although it was renewed, the card in my car still said it was expired (and for a different car), on top of THAT, I lost my freakin driver's license and the DMV system was down state wide ("Oh but we're open on Friday" -- fat lot of good that does me when I am going on a road trip on Wednesday!). So I took a printout of a scan I happened to have of my driver's license, my passport, my expired insurance, and a couple of things to show that I had at least started paperwork with the dealership, and then drove to Walsenburg EXTRA slow. It was a loooong drive.
Click here to see the photos! We had a good time. It was just the three of us, but we had a table of enough food for 20. Afterwards we played Dominoes, and for some reason it was a really funny game. I also got a lot of knitting done over the weekend.

Pregnancy Update
No morning sickness for a while now, thank goodness. But now I have the most unbearable itch. If one could die of itching, I'd surely be hospitalized at this point. UGH!!!! I guess I am going through a rapid growth spurt, so my skin is stretching a little more than it's happy with. Baby (or "Muffin" as my mom calls him/her) is kicking away day and night. (Right now as a matter of fact.) Seems to respond a bit to music, so we may have a little budding dancer on our hands. Belly is protruding quite far these days, but I haven't seemed to be able to capture it fully with my camera phone. Ah well. Actually the profile of me from the Thanksgiving photos isn't too bad. It shows off my bump a little bit:

Thanks monica!
If you go to the previous post I have a photo album that has all my pregnancy pictures so far. With George gone (with camera), I have to say I am not taking as many pictures as I maybe otherwise would be, but there will be more soon when I go out to FL for Xmas.
You've always been beautiful but I have to say that you've never looked more beautiful than you do now! Its true that pregnancy looks great on some people. I'm so happy for you and your decision for a home birth is fabulous! I will definitely continue to monitor your blog to keep up with how things are going. Best wishes to both you and George and (what I'm sure will be) your beautiful offspring. Love you both!
Elisabeth! AWWWE You look absolutely GORGEOUS! I almost sent you a comment begging to see pictures, but then I realized you'd already posted them. Congradulations to you both! more pictures! more pictures!!
